Data Deletion Instructions — Himalaya Social Gateway

How to revoke Facebook access and request deletion of data associated with Himalaya Social Gateway.

Last updated: 23 September 2026

You can stop granting access and request deletion of data associated with Himalaya Social Gateway as follows.

1. Revoke access on Facebook

  1. Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  2. Open Apps and websites.
  3. Select Himalaya Social Gateway and choose Remove.

This prevents the application from continuing to use the Facebook permissions granted. Posts already published on a Page are not automatically deleted when access is revoked.

2. Request data deletion from Himalaya

Send a request through the Himalaya contact page with the subject “Himalaya Social Gateway data deletion request”. Include:

  • The name of the Facebook account used to connect.
  • The relevant Facebook Page name.
  • A description of the data you want deleted.

Do not send passwords, access tokens, one-time passwords or other sensitive information. We may request reasonable verification to prevent fraudulent deletion requests.

After verification, we will delete or anonymise data within the scope that can be deleted and respond with the outcome. Some minimal records may be retained for system safety, audit or legal obligations.

What is not automatically deleted

A request to delete application data does not automatically delete posts published on a Facebook Page. Deletion or editing of public posts requires a separate request from the Page administrator.
